This just came up on twitter and I think some of you who are actually
beeminding your Pocket queues have a better way to do this. Can you
remind us what that is? Something about sending Beeminder a +1 when
you add something and -1 when you read something?

(note the IFTTT link there as well)

When I beemind things like this, it’s usually not the absolute length
of the queue which I mind, but the maximum age of any one item. If
something has been sitting in my queue for more than a week, it needs
to be read, or discarded. (I do similar things with my RTM inbox,
when I actually have that software running…)

I agree that the staleness of posts matters most to me, but I would take as
simple an integration as just the count of items. I just added to my use
case (the tweet that prompted this thread) here on uservoice:

Ahh, I did not realise that I could use ifttt pocketbee recipes to do both
a +1 and -1, I was just doing a -1. , I have just set that up to send both
a +1 and a -1 to the bot depending on whether an item was added or read and
will see how it works.
