I saw that the load metric has been added to the API, which is great, thank you!

Wondering if this could be added as a meta-minding option when creating a goal? That way it could be updated whenever it changes.

The way I’m currently doing it is via my own script which only runs once an hour.

Yay, more additions to the API! Very much welcomed!

@zedmango You can read all about it here:

> I’ve been playing with a metric to capture how much I’m skating the edge on my goals. I have a good number of goals, usually around 60, and I have found it easy to lose track of progress. When I feel like Beeminder is breathing down my neck, I look and see mostly green goals, sit down and do work for an hour, and I look at my dashboard, and… it’s still mostly green. When I’m already in a grumpy mood, I need more basic feedback than “dates changed on a list of 60 items”. I use Beeminder primar…

Any news on this? I just discovered the Urgency Load in the “statistics” view today (even though it’s been public for a few years apparently).

This was also the type of thing I was looking for when I first tried to set up a beeminder integration. I was originally guessing based on trolling through the forums that maybe there wasn’t a settled good example of something to track.

[Is Total Buffer a better metric than Urgency Load?](https://forum.beeminder.com/t/is-total-buffer-a-better-metric-than-urgency-load/10935)

Is my best option to set up a cron job or invest in learning Make or val.town ? An internal meta integration would be really helpful

@serenequeen That really just depends on your preference, I think. None of the options you listed are going to be substantially less or more complicated once you’ve set it up.
