Howdy,

Are any of you Hacker News readers? We just posted a ‘review my
startup’, and we’re worried it won’t get noticed:

Can you edit the original post to include a link? That would help a lot.

No, they actually don’t let you include a link at all in the top
blurb. Bethany added one in her comment.
Upvoting Bethany’s comment to the top would help…

Thanks Rob!

I have always found the hacker news interface a bit hard to follow. Clicking on the title of the thing links to itself. That is a classic web design no-no.

I tried to up vote it but couldn’t figure out how…created an account too,
but didn’t find any voting options.

Oh, I bet it doesn’t allow newly registered users to upvote. Thus
preventing people from spamming their friends asking them to all go
upvote their submission…

(Thanks for trying to though!)

We did get a small boost in users today – [users – meta – beeminder](http://beeminder.com/meta/users) –
probably mostly from a tweet by Jake Hofman. (Thanks Jake!)

PS to Rob: Yeah, that’s super lame when a page links to itself in the
title. [quickly deploys version of beeminder with self-link removed.
hmm, could add that to [twttr.com/beemuvi](http://twttr.com/beemuvi) but then would have to admit
that we’ve been web design doofuses all the way till now! :)]

I think that Laurie might have missed the small upwards pointing triangle which is used to upvote. I was able to register and upvote al at once.

I also just removed the self-link on the fedibblety blog!
