Hi all, I’ve been working on a GitHub Action that allows users to connect any number of GitHub repos to any number of Beeminder goals based on any combination of events supported by GitHub Actions. It’s called `multigitminder` and you can find it [on GitHub Marketplace](https://github.com/marketplace/actions/multigitminder).

This project started because I wanted to create a “write python” Beeminder goal, where commits across multiple GitHub repositories would contribute to a single goal. It has since grown to be a comprehensive tool for capturing programming activity on GitHub as data for your Beeminder goals. You can use multigitminder to create one-to-many or many-to-one relationships between your GitHub repos and Beeminder goals, allowing you to track complex or specific programming goals.

I’ve written [a small blog post](https://needleinthehay.ca/post/introducing-multigitminder/) on it explaining how to use it, including some example workflows. I’d appreciate it if you checked it out!

This is so great! Super excited to try this out when I find an excuse. 😄

It’s your hard-working module at the center of this automation tool, so big thanks to you! 😄

I am tracking most of my goals manually, except Project Euler, for which I have recently started to use the integration. I like it, but I find myself going to the Goal and refreshing after solving a problem. At that point, I might as well enter the data manually. My point is that the integration looks nice, but I don’t have a use-case for it at the moment.

What I wanted to say is that I enjoyed reading your article about Young Link being a good character to counter Hungrybox’s Jigglypuff. I also ended up watching the whole Zein vs. Hungrybox match. Marth was my favorite character when I played Melee as a teenager. If you (or anybody who reads this) haven’t watched the [documentary](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmLSJrA0n9w) about Hungrybox, I highly recommend it. It is entertaining, engaging, and contains some interesting takes on current internet culture, almost to the point where it becomes a work of philosophy. You don’t need any prior knowledge about Melee.

If you enjoyed the Hungrybox documentary, you might also want to check out [Summoning Salt](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtUbO6rBht0daVIOGML3c8w). They do documentaries about speedrunning that are incredibly entertaining. I am looking forward to an updated video on SM64 70 stars and 120 stars.

Okay, sorry for the off-topic rant. I get excited about this stuff, and I don’t have anybody in my life who shares that interest in eSports, so it feels nice to share some of the excitement with a person who might be interested in it. (I bet that you already know the Hungrybox documentary and Summoning Salt anyway.)

Thanks for the project and the blog post note. It inspired me to write for myself a much simpler version, just counting the new commits and sending them to the Beeminder project: [Tracking commits across multiple repositories with Beeminder | Daniel Borek](https://danielborek.me/2026/03/2025-03-07-beeminder-github-integration/)
