I read a couple of good articles about motivation vs discipline today:

Part 1: [http://www.wisdomination.com/screw-motivation-what-you-need-is-discipline/](http://www.wisdomination.com/screw-motivation-what-you-need-is-discipline/)
Part 2: [http://www.wisdomination.com/practical-discipline/](http://www.wisdomination.com/practical-discipline/)

I think Beeminder is a great tool for helping with the discipline side and the articles have some good hints that are applicable to setting your road. (Small changes are better than big ones.)

Any other interesting points you found in the article?

Loved these articles.

If it were an article about Beeminder the part about “worst case scenario” would be that you get by in life without Beeminder for some time but then you’re really screwed when something catastrophic happens because you never developed any discipline. > The proper question is “How do I make my feelings inconsequential and do the things I consciously want to do without being a little bitch about it?”.

Awesome stuff
