How about “here are some useful goal ideas; press a button to copy one into your beeminder and you can then modify it”?

Of course, we’d need to fix the annoying bug where you can’t modify a goal after you create it:

Allow goals to be changed within the first week. It takes a lot of trial and error to get a goal right, and it’s annoying that it’s not possible to change many things about a goal immediately after creating it. Instead, you have to delete and re-create it. There’s no point to that - if you can delete a goal you should be able to freely edit it.
