Going quite well have not been buffering as good as I would like. But has kept me on track with things quite well in spite of a derail.
Erring on the side of too easy is usually good
Something else you could try is increase your derail respite to 7+ days, so you have time to adjust your rate and test it out before getting charged again
For my high priority things with high quantities though I mainly use the auto dialer, and set it to 0.85 of average
In practice this means I almost never derail, but alerts me if my pace is seriously slipping
So it has still been going good. I did however add a goal that is a harder. The goal to clean for one hour everyday. But I am going into this goal expecting to derail 3-6 times a month. I am looking at as $15-$30 to keep the house clean every month which is much cheaper than paying someone to do it. Also I am
Going to try to create a day or two buffer. I feel like going into with this mindset is less likely to lead to discouragement.
Though one thing I am not sure about is what do I do once the whole house is clean? Do I just mark an hour even though I didn’t clean?
I have never used auto dialer but have always wanted to try it out. Maybe I’ll give it a shot on a new goal this week.
This is really interesting! I feel like I haven’t yet developed a good concept of how to best use the autodialer. Maybe I’ll start with this for a few goals and see how it goes!
By then you’ll have a good idea of how much effort it’ll take to keep it clean, and can dial back the graph into a kind of maintenance mode.
Maybe pair it with a binary goal that asks: did I do any cleaning today? That style of goal is easier to answer with a +1 when there was no cleaning to be done, because you’ve done all of it.
The cleaning goal I adjusted down to 40 minutes. As I did not realize how much cleaning I could get done in 60 minutes. Since it was the first week I just deleted and recreated the goal at 40 minutes. As I quickly ran out of things to clean since I have a small house.
Also I have enabled auto dialer for my bible study goal as a test.
