I did this with a Particle Internet Button and IFTTT. Depending on how handy you are, you can do this with just a Particle Photon and a switch, which would bring the cost down to a little over $19, but the Particle Internet Button is prebuilt and has lights and a plastic case.

You need to load the code on using a web page–it doesn’t come pre-loaded.

Getting physical aka physical buttons

Hi folks! I have a little physical button I use with Beeminder. I’m not 100% satisfied with it, but I told @dreev I’d post this quite a while ago. I’ll post what I have, and I’ll write a little bit about where I want to take it at the end. [image] It’s a “Particle Internet Button”. It costs about $50 and connects to the internet via Wifi.
