My guess is that this because Focusmate treats it in their data as a scheduled session that doesn’t get a partner… which we count because it avoids people derailing if they schedule a session at the last minute but can’t find someone. More about this rationale in another thread.
Whether we can change this very much depends on whether there’s a way to tell the difference between the two situations in Focusmate’s API. “Focus Now” didn’t exist when we built the integration, so I don’t really know – we’ll have to look into it.
