After I had more than a few goals, I set up a Beeminder review in my weekly/monthly reviews.
Monthly, I review all my goals, looking at the next time I have to make progress, at the rate, due date, scheduled breaks, safety buffer, and max safety buffer. I ask if the Beeminder goal is actually helping me reach a real goal, or if I’ve subverted the intent and am only technically making progress in real life. sigh. I look to see if the goals need to be replaced, or scaffolded with other goals.
What do you include in your review, and how often do you do it?

I think you covered everything
I think I need to do this!
I review the same things that you’ve described, but I also double-check the total of my pledges so that I have a gut sense of how much I’ve got at risk.
What I’d really like is to have a script that calculates my effective value at risk, which would take into account the probability of staying on track with each of my goals in the next week. A $10 pledge on a goal where I’ve come in below the upcoming road rate in 10% of the days in the look-back period would translate to a $1 effective-value-at-risk.
I’m not sure that’s useful, but it seems fun to calculate.
