Can I show the needed ordinate value for upcoming days on the graph?

Preface: This is potentially a silly goose question and I’m missing something obvious. Please help.

Example of what I’m wrestling with:

  • Goal has data points as natural numbers.
  • I am a genius and I put my expected increase as 5/7 per day (as in, +5 per week).
  • I’m in the red on a given day. I will feed the goal with a +1, but I would like to know if I will have to feed it again tomorrow to not derail, or if there’s a buffer day next.
  • Because of 5/7 being a clumsy number, now it’s non-trivial to predict if tomorrow I will have to feed the goal again or not. I can zoom in on the graph (or start doing backwards math), but I don’t trust my eyes in some ‘tight’ cases (my brain tends to ignore arithmetics close to midnight), and I don’t exactly want to whip out GIMP like a maniac.

Is there a way to show future ordinate values on the red line (by default?) on the graph? Am I missing something obvious?
I’ve been away for a while. ._. Please help me dig myself out of the fractions of my own making.

Hmm, the graph isn’t really any good for easily seeing this, but how about the due by table in the statistics? You can see the deltas and cumulative totals required for the next 7 days there. As an example from one of my graphs:

So if I want to do enough today to be safe at the deadline tomorrow, I need to add +4. If I want enough to be safe through Saturday, +13 today.

(Where cumulative total makes more sense, that’s in the other column: I need a cumulative total of 852 by tomorrow, 861 by Saturday.)

Aaah, that’s what I needed, thank you thank you! Absolutely missed it when left to my own devices, thanks for patiently explaning.

It’s super-useful to hear that it’s maybe a bit too tucked away to be easily found, so it’s good feedback for us – thanks for asking!

I have a plus one for making this easier to discover.

iOS app recently got an update that made this information prominent in the UI.

I’d be happy to see that in the web too.

Unfortunately we get feedback that there’s already too much information on the page even before getting to the due by table, so it’s a whole balancing act, but maybe something like the Android app where there’s an icon next to the graph that you can tap to pull out a drawer… then it’s still out of the way, but somewhere people might be more likely to try.
