  • i’m grateful i got to try out a fun game tonight: dominion. unfortunately it’s only up to 4 players, at least the base version, so it maybe won’t be a good fit for the next few game nights, but i enjoyed it very much even just this once! (even came in second place, which isn’t too bad for my first time playing, i’d say. :sunglasses:)

Gosh do I ever love an Unhelpful Yoga Pet.

  1. SGQ: I had a ludicrously productive housework day back from vacation yesterday, getting all the blinds hung in the dining room, replacing a leaky hose bibb, getting a soaker hose set up around our big tree, and installing the new towel hooks in the bathroom.
  2. Unhelpful Yoga Pets!
  3. My wife and I just got back from an extremely lovely vacation; I’m grateful that we have the monetary and time flexibility to go on relatively-short-notice vacations.

  • self-gratitude: i’m grateful i picked up the phone at work today. (maybe this sounds bad but let me explain: i hate phone calls. we didn’t have the number that was calling saved, so i didn’t know who it was. it’s super hot. boss said that we could leave work if it gets unbearable. i was seriously considering not picking up, since it’s past official office hours as well. i assumed the caller was a person who’d recently e-mailed us, saying they have a few questions (which weren’t specified). turned out it was that person calling, but i was able to answer all their questions (take this, imposter syndrome!) and we ended up having a nice, friendly conversation.) yay for jumping over shadows (of which there should be more, they’re so cool! :sunglasses: yes i’ll be here all night :sunglasses:)

  • i’m grateful i decided to walk home tonight. even if it’s late and maybe did take slightly longer than the night bus, it still beats waiting for the bus for over 20 minutes, like the app suggested i would have.
