- Found an unofficial case for my Steam Deck that says it can fit the UK charger in it, which most can’t. Yay!
- Got some Christmas money toward the Toasty Touch gloves I need to help manage my Raynaud’s disease. Now I just need to get them imported without too much hassle.

today is apparently my first forum anniversary and this marks also my 355th gratitude post. i think i haven’t missed a single day since i started posting here!
- self-gratitude: i’m grateful i’ve made gratitude journaling a hobby, and that i still enjoy doing it.
- i’m grateful that people loved the little booklets i gave them today.
- i’m grateful for the amazing get-together we had today.

- self-gratitude: i’m grateful i worked ahead on my goals on the 30th, so i had only two beemergencies on new year’s.
- i’m grateful for a very chill and fun new year’s party with friends.
- i’m grateful i didn’t have to go home with public transport all the way, which would have taken ages.

- Lovely NYE party at a friend’s house with a bunch of out-of-town folks in for the holiday. Last year we created challenges for a Survivor game; this year we created tasks for a Taskmaster evening.
- The beauty and comfort of our pool and hot tub.
- A nice beeminder break over most of December leading to some good introspection and goal adjustments.

- A free short story by one of my new favourite authors: Someone Did Something by Kim M. Watt. It’s comedy sci fi (the kind of sci fi that makes a point about humanity rather than just gushing over advanced tech) and I love it to bits.
- We’re getting so much more rain this season than I had feared. I’d thought we’d be in a drought by now.
- SGQ: I trimmed a tree over the footpath to make it nicer for people to walk past, even though I know possums like eating those leaves (I hate trimming possum food trees).

- self-gratitude: i’m grateful that i had set quarterly futureme reminders. currently i have 3 letters travelling into the future to myself; none yet delivered. writing to my future self is fun, and i expect it will also be fun to read snapshots from my past self.

- A part of me is looking forward to my week staying at my parents’ (with them away and just Simone to hang out with). I think it’ll be a good chance to reset a bit and spend more time reading, even if I will miss Lisa.

- There’s a break in the rain just when I needed to wash some clothes.
- A shy, three-legged lizard in my garden has become familiar enough with me that I can throw worms to it.
- SGQ: I spent about an hour preparing a garden bed and planting some seeds for plants that will attract bees and other insects.

- Owning the three extant volumes of Final Fantasy XIV’s Encyclopaedia Eorzea may be one of the nerdiest things I’ve ever done, but it’s so worth it for what they add to the story and the background information. (Thank you to my sister and my wife for getting them for me.)
- I’m ahead enough that I don’t have to study today.
- Surprisingly energetic/productive this morning.
