- I had a plumber in to do a quote for some work and he seems really good. His office notified me that he’d be late due to an urgent job, so that’s nicer than the common approach of just not turning up.
- I’ve finished Ted Chiang’s “Exhalation” and loved all of it. The story notes at the end were interesting.

- Ahaha my smart water bottle’s app has definitely got me drinking more because it has trophies.
- Alys took care of the latest issue with a persistent issue on a site we both volunteer for, so I did not have to get out of bed and do it, and the relief of that was very great since I was so not done with my weighted blanket for the day yet.
- Slowly I’m learning how to style my hair like this and today it looks good.
- I’ve picked up some of the “curly girl” (ugh) methods for looking after hair and despite thinking it sounded like a lot of fuss… it actually feels really nice to feel like I’m taking care of my hair instead of washing it because I have to. It feels really soft, too, and the hair mask I used today smelled delicious. So does my new dragonfruit conditioner!

- Played some Civ again after many many months
- Civ reminded me of how having long-term goals (run over the Babylonians with my army) can turn repititive, mundane tasks (build orders, moving units around) into an addictive experience
- Managed to have a decent writing session yesterday

- Email zero and inbox zero already today!
- I’ve been setting out three tasks per day which are steps toward having control of things, and it’s really helping. Lisa is doing it too, so we’re both getting a good sense of progress.
