- Lisa got me some extra books to celebrate the degree being done.
- Let me take a moment to appreciate the completion of my fourth degree again. I have first class honours in English lit (BA Hons) and Natural Sciences (BSc Hons), and a merit in English Lit (MA) and Infectious Diseases (MSc), the latter being from one of the foremost universities for infectious diseases in the world. I did good.

- Someone might be joining my static (raiding group) in FFXIV, making us a full eight again. Fingers crossed.
- Got the bathroom fully unpacked now, and decided we have space for a little cupboard to keep things tidy.
- Mum got me a little extra present, the next volume of the Solo Leveling manhwa. The previous volume ended on a cliffhanger so I will be veeeery glad to tuck into this later.

- The person who joined my group last night did agree to come with us on Friday, and we actually saw the end of the fight we’ve been stuck on (though we didn’t win).
- I got me and Lisa fancy ice cream as a surprise (from Ruby Violet – expensive and thus really only for a treat, but very good), and it arrived today. It all sounds so tasty (white chocolate & milk chocolate mixed ice cream, hazelnut brittle ice cream, salted caramel and almond brittle ice cream, strawberry ripple ice cream, and coconut sorbet).

- Got some great feedback and ideas at work today, on one project that may actually come to completion pretty soon.
- A friend I am not super close to, but like a lot, showed a surprising amount of concern for me today, which was quite sweet.
- The vegan “mac & cheese” recipe I tried today was quite good, although in the end there are still many “naturally vegan” pasta dishes I prefer.

- New patch in FFXIV today with some new casual content that’s probably just my speed right now.
- The Book Spin numbers are out on Litsy so I can make my September reading bingo card. I’m finding that really fun at the moment, so hurrah.
- This is a weird thing to be grateful for I guess, but we now have proper free-standing toilet roll holders. It’s much tidier than having a roll standing on the cistern, and more convenient, and it all just feels like part of making this house cosy.

- I just finished All Quiet on the Western Front for book club. A very sad book that I never would have read on my own, but I’m thankful for my book club for forcing me to read it!
- The hot weather here is finally about to break and I can hardly wait!
- We just got a family vacation booked to visit San Francisco in a couple weeks. I’m thankful to be able to take my family on trips like this!

- Found interesting new soft drinks to try in a local shop.
- So far enjoying a book I added to my wishlist rather randomly. Often with fiction I go by recs and books mentioned by other bloggers, so it’s kind of fun going into something with nothing more than the cover copy. (It’s Reignclowd Palace by Philippa Rice, which is so far giving me a bit of a Howl’s Moving Castle vibe.)
- Watching the bunnies be all cute and sleepy while I work.

- My first appointment with my new GP was simple and went absolutely fine. I’d been dreading it, as my previous surgery treated me really oddly at times.
- I don’t know where my copy of this British Library Crime Classic short story collection is, but it’s available on Kobo Plus so I can still read it this month!
- Bookshop.org’s trade-in program is back. When weeding out my book collection during the move, I saved a lot of books in hopes it would come back, so I should be able to trade in quite a lot.

- On Friday, my raid group finally completed the raid we were stuck on! Just one more to go.
- Woke up a bit earlier than usual, am a bit ahead on my daily tasks as a result.
- Me and Lisa were very self-indulgent and ordered dessert over the weekend (white chocolate cookie dough and ice cream).

- Took a weekend trip with some friends to see a dance show. Had a great time.
- While there we also spontaneously decided to see 44 - The Obama Musical. It was a good choice.

- Fit in some fun reading time this morning.
- Work is going very smoothly, even with me needing to prepare ahead for some time off I’ll be having.
- We have a new airer so on rainy days we can still do a full load of laundry. The old one was a bit too small! I feel so adult and boring that this is a gratitude, but it is. My sheets wouldn’t have been dry for bedtime last night otherwise, since we can’t find the spare duvet cover!
