- I’m still anxious, but I’m getting better at doing productive and restorative (thanks, therapist) stuff while the government is shut down and I’m off work.
- Found a piece of candy to give to my kid!
- My cat is hanging out with me while I clean my study and gosh she’s cute.

- Parent teacher conferences done and they went well. When I said my daughter had been diagnosed with dyslexia both the her mainstream and her special education teacher asked about accommodations going forward and we’re setting up a meeting to discuss.
- My dance troupe’s fall festival gigs are done. I love doing them, but it’s such a busy few weeks.
- The remaining dance gig I have is doing a little mini show for a friend’s wedding. I’m so honored to have been asked to do this.

- I have been absolutely loving Persona 5 Royal (yeah, I tend not to play games anywhere close to when they come out, lol).
- The hummus I made today turned out great!
- The negroni I’m drinking right now is also great! I think I quite like the vermouth I’m using, which I just bought recently and have only used a couple of times now (Cocchi Vermouth di Torino)

@poisson I’ve been playing Persona 5 too! Have you played Persona 3 or 4, or is this your first Persona? (I mean there are 1 and 2 as well, but they’re a bit less easy to lay hands on, or were.)
- The property manager promptly sent out a washing machine technician. OK, he couldn’t fix it, but it’s still something.
- It isn’t a raid day.
- But yesterday (which was a raid day) we made some good progress!

@shanaqui Nice! I’ve also played P4G, which I also loved. Fantastic story and characters, gameplay not quite as good as P5R. P4 also has an incredible “vibe”, for lack of a better word—even though I’ve never lived in small-town Japan, the setting and atmosphere somehow make me feel incredibly nostalgic. Not that P5 doesn’t have its own great style/feeling.
- Managed to push a little bit and finish some work I didn’t think I’d get done today!
- An anime I started watching this week has been great!
- Looking forward to a party this weekend!

- Had a really nice conversation with a student today about what they’re working on. Have been kind of in a funk lately, but learning about something new is why I actually like being in science. I feel like I may actually be able to contribute something useful to their work too, eventually. maybe.
- Had a delicious taro bun and espresso for breakfast.
- Started another great anime tonight!

- My library turns out to have access to lots of graphic novels and manga online.
- Free flu vaccines because I’m asthmatic.

- Almost no side effects from the flu vaccine, just a sore arm.
- Lisa’s doing some of the chores that are normally mine due to time off work.
- Probably tomorrow we will have a new washing machine, after ours broke a week ago. Our landlord/property manager have been pretty prompt on this one!

- Dad’s advice is always helpful (and very rarely unsolicited).
- I was starting to get worried about a present I ordered for Lisa, but it’s finally shipped.
- My raid group is 8/8 again, at least for now.

- Paracetamol and heat packs are maybe helping the weirdly tensed up muscle in my shoulder. I do seem to have been in the wars lately!
- Feeling enthusiastic and excited about reading at the moment. It’s always weird when I’m not in a reading mood, so appreciating it while it’s here.
- This house is so much cosier than the old flat and stays warm well.

- My shoulder’s slowly getting better. The problem is apparently that probably that my flu vaccine was injected too high up on my arm, causing inflammation in inappropriate places, but surely it’ll settle down soon in that case.
- Dad helped us solve yet another domestic issue.
- The bunnies are being very cute today (after having a decidedly uncute squabble earlier).

- Now I’ve had both my COVID vaccine and my flu vaccine!
- And the COVID vaccine site was sore for two days and is now pretty much normal. My other shoulder is still healing, but we’re getting there!
- Getting so much reading done lately.
