Re-setting Odometer Reading Goals

I have an odometer goal to read a book. It works great! Now I’m coming to the end of that book.

Do I let this goal archive and create a new goal for the next book? (It looks like this is what @shanaqui does.) Or can I just set the odometer value of this goal back to zero and keep using the same reading goal?

I’m aware that a do-more goal for pages read would solve this problem, but I really like the page number odometer for reading a specific book.

You could do either! Just enter a 0 datapoint after you’re done with one book, and then you can use the same goal for the next.

Sounds like the bit you weren’t sure about was whether you could reset – is that right? Did you try checking the help doc on odometer goals at all, in that case? That page does include info about resetting the odometer, but if it’s not clear it’d be helpful to know!

Well, that was embarrassing. Maybe the real question should be “How do I remember that this entire helpful help section exists?” (That answers this EXACT question. Sheesh.)

Hahaha, don’t worry, that’s useful for us to know too! It is linked on the top header, for example, but that’s not necessarily something you’ll see if you use the mobile apps predominantly, and it is under a menu as well. If the “help docs” link were in the main header, rather than under “get help”, do you think that’d help them pop out to you at all? Or is it more that a link from the mobile app might help? Any thoughts you have would be really useful!

I appreciate you asking, because I definitely did read that help doc and then forgot it was a thing you could do :joy:

I did go look after you gave me this link. It isn’t difficult to find from the home page. Really, I just forget (repeatedly) that it exists. 98% of the time I am on the iOS mobile app, so rarely even see the home page.
