For several of my goals, I like to have a warning several days in advance of derailing. Often a week, so I can schedule actions in appropriately.
This is a problem with some goals, like my pocket word debt. Say I want to keep the debt stable over time (not trying to hit zero). No matter how far in advance I set the reminder, I will never get an email, as the trendline of increasing word debt isn’t inferred (reasonably enough).
A solution would be a cliff in the road X days ahead. Every day, the dip would be pushed back another day. So it would always look like this:

That means that if my goal were looking like it would get me in trouble, I could get the warning for the coming (possible) derailment
