I set it to 0, but it didn’t ratchet. Since I got 15000 steps yesterday, I only need 5000 today
Why is this?

Hi! The auto-ratchet only kicks in if you have actually gained ≥1 day of buffer. It’s really useful to know you were hoping for/expecting that it would work if you hadn’t actually gained a full day of buffer – thanks for asking!
Is there easy way to make it work the way I expected? I.e., every day is a beemergency without requiring me to manually ratchet?
If not, is there a hard way? Such as creating an API script that runs every day at midnight and ratchets to 0. Then a beeminder goal that ensures the script ran somehow?
