I have a “Do Less” goal. I originally had the allowance set to 5x per week (5/7 or .71 per day). Recently, I decided to give myself a bit more of an allowance, and changed it to 1 per day. If I’m not mistaken, the new allowance should take effect on 12/12.
[Side question: Is there a way to see a log of my commitment changes and when each change takes effect?]
Anyway, assuming I’m correct that the relaxed commitment takes effect on 12/12, after that date, my “Hard Cap By Day” delta should increase by exactly 1 every day thereafter, correct? However, here is my Hard Cap By Day table:
DAY
DELTA
TOTAL
Today
+1
24
Tomorrow
+1
24
Thu (11th)
+2
25
Fri (12th)
+3
26
Sat (13th)
+4
27
Sun (14th)
+4

Mon (15th)

It seems to me that my Sunday delta should be +5 and Monday delta should be +6.
Yes, you can see all (past and future) rate changes in the settings tab, all the way down. Or you can use the standalone graph editor to see all the segments in a few useful ways (graphically and as a table): Beeminder Graph Editor
@shanaqui Thanks! That does appear to be it. There is a slight graph change on the on the 12th, which is why I thought that was the date. Do you know why the lines shift a bit on the 12th?
Looks to me like the bright red line changes starting the 15th, but the coloured lines denoting amounts of buffer start to shift sooner. They’re often a bit different to the bright red line, because they’re just guidelines showing how much buffer you get if your datapoint is at that point on that date, if that makes sense – so sometimes they get a bit confusing about rate changes transitions, sometimes even all converging, because each progressive line is making predictions about safety further into the future (and therefore the rate change comes into range for some and not others).
Does that make sense at all? I’m probably not putting it very well, but hopefully that’s a start!
Re: @scarabaea’s suggestion, the graph editor in the settings tab is only there for people with Bee Plus and Beemium (IIRC, it might be just Beemium).
Right! I thought that might be an obstacle, but I guessed wrong that if a user has Do Less goals available, they will also have access to the graph editor.
There is the embedded version which is the paid-only one and is available, apparently, in settings tab on the website client.
The graph editor at graph.beeminder.com however is available for all, afaik.
Indeed it is: I was talking about the one in the settings tab! scarabaea mentioned both, but joemjr2 doesn’t have access to the one in settings, so I was explaining that discrepancy.
