I saw that the load metric has been added to the API, which is great, thank you!
Wondering if this could be added as a meta-minding option when creating a goal? That way it could be updated whenever it changes.
The way I’m currently doing it is via my own script which only runs once an hour.

I’ve been playing with a metric to capture how much I’m skating the edge on my goals.
I have a good number of goals, usually around 60, and I have found it easy to lose track of progress. When I feel like Beeminder is breathing down my neck, I look and see mostly green goals, sit down and do work for an hour, and I look at my dashboard, and… it’s still mostly green. When I’m already in a grumpy mood, I need more basic feedback than “dates changed on a list of 60 items”.

Any news on this? I just discovered the Urgency Load in the “statistics” view today (even though it’s been public for a few years apparently).

This was also the type of thing I was looking for when I first tried to set up a beeminder integration. I was originally guessing based on trolling through the forums that maybe there wasn’t a settled good example of something to track.
Is Total Buffer a better metric than Urgency Load?
Is my best option to set up a cron job or invest in learning Make or val.town ? An internal meta integration would be really helpful
@serenequeen That really just depends on your preference, I think. None of the options you listed are going to be substantially less or more complicated once you’ve set it up.
