  1. Lisa and I planned ahead enough and are lucky enough that we don’t have to stint on the heating when we’re cold, despite the rising energy prices.
  2. I only had to get one filling yesterday, the hygienist who did it talked the dentist down to just one filling (since the other one would be needlessly destructive).
  3. I didn’t panic at all at the dentist!

  1. The song stuck in my head is very dramatic and orchestral and it makes me somehow more productive. Technically it’s two songs. Here’s a video showing both. (It’s FFXIV gameplay video, but you can ignore all that and just listen to the DRAMA. And lest you mishear the lyrics the way a lot of players do, it’s “Beat the heart of, beat the heart of, beat the heart of Sabik”. There are no tacos involved. The heart of Sabik is a plot thing.)
  2. My hair is so short now, it should be quick and easy to wash it and it should dry before my next Focusmate session this afternoon.
  3. Today the sweets in my retro sweets advent calendar were Love Hearts again.

  1. Finished a book in one go yesterday! It was a reread of a beloved book (A Natural History of Dragons), so I expected to enjoy it and read it quickly, but I was a little surprised at how quickly it went.
  2. I have new curtains. They really did help keep the warmth in my office last night.
  3. Got a reasonable amount of stuff done already today.
