  1. SGQ: I said goodbye to some childhood books that I still like but will be better served going on to someone who will actually read them instead of just leave them on their shelf.
  2. We’re home from visiting parents and everything appears to still be in working order!

  3. Lisa seems to be moving around and standing a lot more easily now, without too much pain. The nerve is still under pressure from something (there are huge numb patches on their leg) but still, this is better.

  1. SGQ: I make porridge with two methods, using identical quantities of oats and water. The easiest method produced the best result.
  2. I hurt my back yesterday but it’s already significantly better.
  3. Lentils are easy to eat and count as vegetables.

  • i’m grateful today’s meeting didn’t leave me with a headache like the last time we had this type of meeting.
  • i’m grateful the toner cartridge arrived today, as planned.
  • self-gratitude: i’m grateful i immediately printed and bound the little homework booklet. we only need it in just under two weeks, but there’s a lot of other homework as well, so it’s nice to have things i don’t need to think about anymore.

  1. Jeremy convinced me not eat the best batch of porridge that I made yesterday after I left it out of the fridge overnight. I was SO tempted.
  2. My back is even better than yesterday. I was expecting this to take days but it seems less serious than I first thought.
  3. SGQ: I reviewed all of my task list yesterday and marked the ones that I want to focus on this week, so I know that I can ignore everything else. I feel more in control now.

  1. SGQ: I pulled myself out of my early-week work-funk for a satisfyingly productive past two days, without overcorrecting and throwing off my work-life balance.
  2. It’s sooooo nice to have a pool. All the common downsides are definitely true - it’s not cheap, it’s nontrivial to keep maintained - but the flip side is I can go swimming whenever I want and then get in the hot tub right after. Turbo worth.
  3. My driver’s-license-getting appointment at the DMV went — while not quite as well as my wildest hopes — far better than I feared, and I got my new driver’s license.

  2. Hotel let me do an online check-in and arrange for contactless pickup of the room key, so we don’t have to interact in a civilised manner when we reach the hotel at 10-11pm, we can just grab the key and go flop.
