Jacarandas in bloom are one of my favorite sights, and I am a little
stunned that I’ve never thought to have a salted caramel milkshake. And yay
for 1st days!

  1. I still have more chocolate-covered apricots
  2. Grateful for my friend who introduced me to the concept of an unintended
donation fund, which made recovering from breaking a glass while it was
still in its packaging a lot easier.
  3. Grateful for another friend who posts openly when times are hard and
    helps me by proxy

  1. My grandmother’s sage saying, “You can’t educate pork.” Meaning “walk away from stupid arguments”. Also funny to say.
  2. I bought a book for a friend a while ago, as part of a sort of care package. She read it yesterday and loved it. Win!
  3. Writing! As in, with a pen on paper (or stylus on screen). I do a lot of thinking that way, from studying to figuring out my brain to setting out to-do lists. I hadn’t been using it enough lately.

  1. I have an E.C.R. Lorac book I haven’t previously read all ready to read this weekend, and I’m in the mood to do so.
  2. My wife bought me some Bounty bars because I had a craving for coconut and chocolate.
  3. Wales v New Zealand today. It’s most likely we’ll lose, but we have an interesting team and I’ll enjoy watching it.
  1. A brisk wind today, not too hot or cold, slightly overcast - one of my favourite weather combinations.
  2. The vine outside my bedroom window, and the dappled pattern of sunlight and shade across it.
  3. A medical checkup has been scheduled for me at the exact time as a “mandatory” team Christmas lunch that our Director wants us all to go to. I love my workmates but intensely dislike being told that I have to go to a restaurant and spend money, especially during pandemic times for heck’s sakes. I had no input into the checkup’s date and time so this is delightful luck.
