  2. Saw a bunch of occasionally-beautiful dances, for free
  3. Got to show my daughter a literally wonderful curio shop

  1. I was feeling tired and a bit dizzy so Jeremy made me lots of food.
  2. I had put some lollies at the bottom of the vegetable drawer so they wouldn’t be in easy reach, and then forgot about them. They were a surprise reward for me today when I got myself a plate of vegetables.

  1. My little electric heater. The gas is way too expensive to bother heating the whole house, but with my poor circulation I do need a quick way to warm up, and this fan heater works just fine. (It’ll be a false economy once it gets a bit colder, but for now it helps.)
  2. Listening to more music. I often worked without music on lately, but I think music really helps me stay focused without being stressed!
  3. I get to write a blog post about a book today for Postcrossing! I always enjoy putting these together.
  1. Catching up with some work-friends after work.
  2. A conveniently-timed bus to get home.
  3. Spiced biscuits.

  1. My dad has completely taken to heart the fact that me and Lisa sometimes feel isolated/lonely, and we’ve been invited for dinner with my family again. :blue_heart:
  2. Someone who used to be a fan of my fanfiction when I was a teenager has found me again and likes some of my newer writing. :joy: I dread to think how my skills were back then, but it’s pretty amazing to be so fondly remembered.
  3. Music! Still! I forgot how much I like to sing along to Natalie Merchant’s Ophelia album.

reminding me to notice things I can be grateful for

    around here
  3. Grateful that we have liquid amber trees on our street, as I enjoy how

  1. My reMarkable 2 has arrived!
  2. Chatting with an older friend who has known me since I was about 15. It is nice that there are still people around me – other than Lisa, who married me – who knew me then when I was a dramatic teenager. The patience I must have required of them sometimes…!
  3. I can see bright blue sky outside my window.
