Integration for Anki Mobile (and all Anki apps)

If you’re like me, wanting to study Anki on your phone and beemind it, I created a solution.

I conferred with Dae (the creator of Anki) and he said the only way to do it is to run a sync server that sends updates to Beeminder or Zapier, IFFT or whatever. So this weekend I set up a copy of the official Anki sync server and added a little script that updates my Beeminder. This means that no matter where I study - on iPhone, Android, or PC - Beeminder always gets updated.

If you want to use this as well, I can send you the script with instructions, or you can co-use my sync server. This is a community service and not a paid offer, though you’re welcome to contribute to the server costs if your decks include lots of media that need to be stored.

Oh that’s very nice!

I appreciate you offering to use your server but I’m a bit worried about data loss etc, and wouldn’t want to stress you with my worries.

It’d be great if you can open source your set up :folded_hands:

This sounds great! Definitely the fact that the maintained progress extension doesnt run on mobile has led to some loophole-manipulation on my part in the past. So I also might be interested in trying this some day if i could run it on my own server.
