[Copied partially from one of the emails I sent today!]
Because StoryGraph are currently under a DDoS attack, they’ve implemented a measure which stops us checking your page for updates (you’ll notice it every now and then when browsing StoryGraph yourself, too, but you’ll be able to pass it and see your own page because your actions aren’t automated). We don’t know yet whether that’s a permanent measure on their part, whether we can get an exception, etc etc, so it may be at least a few days before the integration will work again.
In the meantime I’d definitely suggest just updating manually using the email bot, if you want to keep your graph accurate, since we won’t overwrite that or pull in past data if we re-establish the connection. Just remember to enter your cumulative total number of books/pages that StoryGraph shows on your all-time stats, so that when it does update (
) the numbers will match up somewhat (it’s okay if you’re not perfectly in sync, just make sure you don’t add more than the amount on StoryGraph, or it might derail you when we sync up and the cumulative total is lower again).
We’d also be fine with putting a break in any StoryGraph goals for you if you prefer that option to manually updating, since it can be a bit cumbersome! Contact us at support@beeminder.com in that case, and give us a link to the goal/s, and we’ll add a week’s break to start with.

According to my test just now, the StoryGraph integration is working again (with much thanks to them for coming to a solution with us).
Graphs should once more automatically update, if there’s new data to be had.

Are there currently any known issues with the StoryGraph integration? I haven’t updated my current pages there for a few days, and today that I did that, new data is not pulling (a few hours now).
Will report back here in case it just starts working again by itself.

There are, there’s a quick note about it in the help docs, but I didn’t think to make a thread here for some reason! Sorry 'bout that.
What happened is that the “all-time” stats page (like this) which we pull the data from is no longer publicly accessible. I don’t know if Beeminder’s official email to them had an answer, but I emailed StoryGraph with feedback about that as a premium user for whom the Beeminder integration is a big draw, and I got a reply yesterday that something was accidentally broken when fixing an issue with charts, and it should be fixed soon. So fingers crossed it’ll be back after the weekend, or something like that!

Thanks for the clarification! good to know that this is a known issue and hopefully will be fixed on their side before too long.
Looks like it’s working again! Last night’s value has been automatically pulled during the post-midnight check.
