When I mark off a task completed in Todoist, I would expect that the data point would automatically be entered into beeminder. But it’s not… Instead I have to click the yellow refresh button on beeminder to extract the data (picture for reference). Is this normal?
Ah, thanks for asking about this! It is in fact automatic – it always checks for the latest data from Todoist before sending you a reminder and at your deadline. So it’s just if you want to make certain that Beeminder has the latest data Right Now that you need to hit that refresh button.

How long does it take for the data to update? I marked off a task on Todoist and beeminder has still not updated the graph after 90 minutes.
The updates are tied to the reminders and those are subject to “zeno polling”.
