I use Opal for screen time management, but would love to add the additional charge aspect of Beeminder to really crack down on usage.
Opal doesn’t seem to have a Beeminder integration, so how are people blocking things like social media?
I see RescueTime is an option, but it’s kind of a terrible app.
Apart from Rescuetime, I don’t know of anything that has an option to block social media and an integration with Beeminder. I used to use Intention, personally!
I think I’d be fine with even a means of getting dinged for every minute I spend on IG.
I’m a huge fan of the News Feed Eradicator. It lets you block the news feed but otherwise use social media (e.g., for looking up specific pages, DMing).
I imagine you could use both.
RescueTime to track, and whatever other tool you want to block.
On Android I use LockMeOut for websites & Unpluq (uses an RFC chip) for apps.
On Mac I use Hey Focus.
Then I also use RescueTime for tracking / beeminder enforcement on desktop, as I can usually get past any PC blocker if I really have a mind to.
