  1. Focusmate sessions with people I’ve worked with before. Something about knowing I’ll likely see them again soon adds that extra nudge to get to work.
  2. Starting my morning by rereading a book I liked was nice and refreshing.
  3. Now re-playing Fable 3 through my Xbox Live Gaming subscription!

  2. Chatting with coworkers on one of my rare days in the office.
  3. My manager, who lets me work from home as often as I like.

  3. I managed to get vaccinated yesterday! I wasn’t invited yet, but the pharmacist agreed I should’ve been, and they had a dose left in an open vial after vaccinating my wife. :tada:

  1. Tonight is cheesy rice with peppers and chorizo. (Based off this recipe, but substituting peppers for the courgette. Courgette was too slimy.)

  2. A ringtail possum in our garden has two babies.
  3. I love the feeling of successful exhaustion that I get after a few solid hours of gardening.

  1. My Captain America cosplay on FFXIV is going down well. (Pictures on my Mastodon account.) Someone called me “Cap” in a duty, so I think I nailed it.
  2. I’m just about done with my Christmas shopping. Just a few bits left to order.
  3. Dad dropped by some bits for Lisa’s custom advent calendar today.

  1. The yarn for me and Lisa’s “advent” project arrived today. It’s more of a New Year countdown, and will involve making two squares a day for a blanket. We each have a different colourway, but will be using the same pattern and same linking colour, so our blankets will be very similar. Mostly it’s something to do together!
  2. I blocked out my time for today very specifically, planning to get everything done. So far it’s working well, though it’s early in the day still…
  3. Lots of recommendations from folks on Mastodon (mostly Wandering Shop) for books to get Lisa for Christmas.

  3. Our favourite scrub turkey, Muffin, is back after being away for several weeks. We can tell its her because she’s the only one comfortable enough to come right up to us.

I’ve started favouriting pretty much everyone that I have a session with, which prioritises them as a match. After a session I’ll snooze them for a week or a month to avoid over-frequent matching.

If I don’t want to favourite someone, I do the opposite and soft-block them with an indefinite snooze.

  1. My new dentist is fine.
  2. I don’t have a new filling yet, but I do have a temporary filling that will stop stuff getting caught in the cracked tooth.
  3. “The bunnies” bought me a book today. (Aka I had a bad day so Lisa pre-ordered me Rebecca Roanhorse’s Tread of Angels, but it didn’t count as my monthly book from them, and today is the day the ebook came out.)
