  • i’m grateful for the incredibly delicious dinner we had today. korean bbq :orange_heart:
  • self-gratitude: i’m grateful i put lots of initial buffer on two new goals i just created. the monthly resolution goal needs to start today, obviously, but “3 new goals in one day” is a Very Bad No Good Don’t Do It Can’t Recommend idea, so i’ve opted for the slightly more preferable “1 new goal today, the other 2 new goals in two-ish weeks” variation …
  • self-gratitude: i’m grateful i started a difficult thing at work today, reminding me that it really isn’t that annoying, in the end. :) (still have to finish it, but we’ll get through that in time.^^)
  1. Found a translated version of something I was interested in watching online, yay!

  3. There is a hill in my neighbourhood that is SO steep. It makes for excellent exercise.
  • i’m grateful for a good breakfast and lots of late, also food-related birthday gifts.
  • self-gratitude: i’m grateful that i took a little nap in the afternoon. i didn’t actually sleep, but just laying down with closed eyes was good for me, i think.
  • i’m grateful i got to know a baby today! he’s so small and so young and so wonderful and i love him. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: (i’ve never really had any young children in my life, except when i still was one, so watching him grow up [i’m friends with the parents] is going to be very fun and very interesting. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:)
  1. Helped put in a bunch of fenceposts for a fence to help keep the cats safe. We put in a dozen in the morning, all by hand, and it was extremely satisfying to do all the manual labour.
  2. New microchip-detecting catflap installed, again as part of our cat-ensafening of the garden.
  3. Dates have come through for next art class - excited about that!
  1. SGQ: I went door-knocking for The Greens party.
  2. An experienced door-knocker was with me and helped me learn.
  3. Free ice-blocks afterwards! It was a hot day, they were very welcome.
  • self-gratitude: i’m grateful that i [did a small thing today] in a moment and mood which [instinctually wouldn’t have made do the thing].

Great thread! It’s great seeing the many possible things we can be grateful for (and the many things I take for granted in my life).

  • I’m glad I found this thread because it reminded me that I should consider restarting my gratitude journal habit.
  • self-gratitude: i’m grateful that i finally made an important phone call today.
  • self-gratitude: i’m grateful that i worked on most of my beeminder goals before heading into work today.
  • i’m grateful i’m tired enough again for an early bedtime.

Hi @wzwy ! Welcome!

  1. Fishtrout’s How To Be A Dragon webtoon. From what I’ve read of it so far, it’s mostly about two young dragons, one of whom loves frogs, and it’s utterly adorable.
  2. I especially love the facial expressions on the pink dragon (Hopper) in New Hoard. You can see EXACTLY what Hopper is thinking.
  3. self-gratitude: I spent an hour in the garden first thing today tidying up around the front fence. (With any luck, I’ll be getting some yard signs for The Greens party to display for our upcoming council election.)
  • i’m grateful for a delicious dinner.
  • self-gratitude: i’m grateful i did okayish on my goals today.
  • i’m grateful that a prof finally answered an email.
  1. When I was out walking, a dog that had been standing with her owner about two houses away ran up to me, completely unprompted, to get a pat and a cuddle.
  2. An arborist who I’ve been trying to get a quote from for ages was finally able to visit yesterday.
  3. self-gratitude: I got up early to get some important tasks done.

Hello! Thank you for the welcome.

Today, I’m grateful that a difficult conversation with my dad ended (reasonably) well.

  1. Focusmate helping me actually do what I sit down to do.
  2. Even though he’s quitting the group, a member of our static is willing to come along tonight so we can still raid without me having to scramble to find a substitute.
  3. Feeling like writing is fun! I’m not consistent about it but it’s always nice when an idea comes along.
  • self-gratitude: i’m grateful i managed to walk my full 10 000 steps today.
  • i’m grateful for a micro evening nap.
  • i’m grateful work wasn’t stressful today.
  1. Lunch with a work friend.
  2. Afternoon tea with a different work friend.
  3. self-gratitude: I’ve recognised that I need a bit of a rest and so I’ve made plans to stay home and do very little (apart from paid work) for the next couple of days.
