Gratitude journaling together

  1. This video of the Red Army Choir singing “Sex Bomb”. The dancing towards the end is especially adorable.
  2. I received this lovely compliment about some technical documentation that I and others wrote: “Your onboarding documentation is awesome, have rarely seen it done better.”
  3. A strong breeze while I was walking last night.
  1. One working day left before time off!
  2. Stitching is so calming and grounding.
  3. New books! (Yes, this happens to me a lot.)
  1. A VPN server that I helped build last week went into production yesterday and is working.
  2. Power and internet are being cut off on my street for repairs today but it’s the day that I go into the office so I won’t notice.
  3. Our cat had a medical issue that turned out to be just from too frequent changes in diet so it’s all under control now.
  1. TIME OFF!
  2. Which also means I can attend a webcast tomorrow night that normally I’d just despair of fitting in.
  3. Chatting to my aunt via text.

  1. The webcast was pretty interesting.
  2. I got some studying done.
  3. I finally got my ereader properly set up agaaain.
  1. It was colder last night than it has been for a while so our cat slept under the covers with me.
  2. Eggs cooked in the spicy noodles that Jeremy likes. They pick up just enough of the spice to be tasty without being too hot.
  1. Doing something new with my hair.
  2. Lots of reading today.
  3. Wife was willing to go get me antacids at 11pm. :blue_heart:
  1. Mars bright in the sky when I was walking last night.
  2. I slept in, which was badly needed.
  3. Breakfast was rolled oats with chopped dates and TWO cups of tea.
  1. New books!
  2. The thing I did with my hair actually held all night.

  1. Distant lightening in the sky while I was walking on an otherwise fine night.
  2. I slept in and then made a conscious decision to lay in bed for a while playing games because I needed time off from everything. I feel relaxed now.
  3. I believe that Princess the scrub turkey is revealing herself to be an immature male, becoming less immature. The Nameless One still appears to be female. This means we may eventually have scrub turkey chicks which are adorable.

  1. Long walk on the moors today.
  2. Just read Susanna Clarke’s Piranesi all in one go!
  3. I hate Gaviscon but hopefully it will let my throat heal?
  1. The Map Marker app. For saving and annotating markers, it’s SO much more convenient and reliable than Google Maps.
  2. I have just found out from googling for that link that it has a web app too!
  3. I’ve finished the audio books of all the Sherlock Holmes stories narrated by Stephen Fry. It’s been a long time since I read them so it was good to read them again and I like him as a narrator. (But OMG, Watson, HOW many times do you fall for Holmes’s crap?? EVERY time he says that he’s too busy for a case and sends you off alone, he ALWAYS goes there in disguise and usually disses your attempts to investigate.)

That’s… surprisingly terrifying timing because “The Hound of the Baskervilles” was the final story I listened to and so hearing about long walks on moors is traumatic.

  1. I actually feel like being a bit productive today, instead of feeling worn out.
  2. I’m really enjoying Supergiant Games’ Hades.
  3. I think maybe my throat has healed a bit? It feels less bad than yesterday, anyway.
  1. I was more productive than usual yesterday.
  2. “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey” was fun. I loved the Grim Reaper.
  3. The weather has turned cold again, rather than the early heat I was expecting.

  1. Yesterday’s lunch and dinner were a salmon soup and a Mexican soup.
  2. I showered in under three minutes today!
  3. I’ve been doing more bash scripting lately to build little utilities for myself. It’s fun to do and satisfying to use them.
  1. I got through all the algebra.
  2. Sounds like I get an actual physical textbook for class! It arrives tomorrow. Excitement!!!
  3. My stamps for World Postcard Day didn’t arrive yet, but my mother came to my rescue with an envelope full of odd stamps that should let me send everything I wanted to send, even if some people don’t get their special stamps.
  1. Enola Holmes was fun. I’m not totally sure I agree with all their changes to the Holmes cannon (primarily, the original Mycroft was smarter than Holmes) but it was a good story. Millie Bobby Brown was great. I enjoyed watching Henry Cavill, who is cute as buttons and I thought he did Sherlock well.
  2. We have a friend staying over for a couple of days.
  3. I have two new packets of tea and one new tisane: Lapsang Souchong (an old favourite), Darjeeling (always nice when you don’t want something too strong), and a “Sticky Date Delight” Rooibos mixture from T2.
  1. Four physical textbooks! They all arrived today and it looks glorious.
  2. I really love studying again.
  3. I sent 30 postcards for World Postcard Day!
