Gratitude journaling together

May I know details? My morning routine is still working excellently, but the rest of the day tends towards chaos.

  1. My new bikini and matching thing-like-a-dressing-gown-but-for-poolside. They’re pretty!
  2. Chocolate sponge cake with peppermint icing - my mother used to make it for my birthdays when I was a child and it was so tasty.

I’m using my breaks to do my workouts. :joy: And I read on the treadmill, so it’s a break for my brain and it gets me moving.

  1. Lisa fixed an email problem with my site that had me baffled.
  2. I got a whole bundle of Postcrossing cards today! Including my first duplicate card, a Leipzig Zoo card with a hippo on it. No complaints, I love hippos.
  3. Nearly three hours of reading so far today, and it’s not even 10pm? Yay!

  1. Jeremy made steak and gnocchi for dinner.
  1. Sending silly snow pictures back and forth with @hiddenspark makes me feel a little less grumpy about missing a chance for our usual playing walks in the snow.
  2. Being back at inbox/tab zero is more restful than the backlog I had. At least then you’re not wondering what still needs handling before x or y date – you’ve done it.
  3. Worked through a thing in statistics I wasn’t getting and it looks like I do understand it. Just gotta go slow.

  1. Read three books today.
  2. Found some chocolate I’d forgotten about.
  3. Had a good walk in the snow.
  1. Had a relaxed day with a bit of a lie-in.
  2. Reading an author I meant to try for quite a while and I’m having fun (Dorothy Gilman’s the author; I’m reading The Tightrope Walker).
  3. The snow’s mostly melted so with a day or two more of this temperature, it should be pretty safe for Lisa to drive. I liked the look of the snow, but not having the road blocked with it!
  1. Lisa made us American-style pancakes for breakfast.
  2. Listening to new songs by Thea Gilmore (from the Blithe Spirits soundtrack – “Heaven’s Cadillacs” and “Where You Are Is Where I Am”; from the sound of it they might be the best thing about the film).
  3. Lisa used her hair clippers to roughly restore my undercut. It’s not perfect but it feels a lot better.
  1. Finally got some non-urgent work done which I’d been eager to do, but had to put off in favour of things that were currently on fire.
  2. The car passed its MOT with just some replacement tires – not bad.
  3. A whole batch of Postcrossing cards arrived today!

  3. My mum thinks that, of my grandparents, I am most like my grandad. Since she adored him (as did I), that’s pretty nice to hear.

  1. I was hankering to play Final Fantasy XV again for some reason, but I’m on a no-spend challenge with YNAB… but my wife bought me it for Steam. :blue_heart:
  2. The system whereby things are under warranty. Not that I’m staring in the direction of the manufacturers of my treadmill or anything.
  3. More postcards!
  1. Tr*mp’s gone. Celebratory image
  2. Greta Thunberg burns a fossil (joke stolen from Twitter replies). ref1 ref2
  3. “US President Joe Biden has signed 17 executive actions, 15 of which are executive orders directly undoing some of the previous administration’s non-science-based actions… including the US response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the withdrawals from both the Paris Climate Agreement and the World Health Organization (WHO).” ref
