Gratitude journaling together

  1. My Dyson stick vacuum cleaner. I used to hate vacuuming when I had to lug around a heavy vacuum cleaner but I love it now that the Dyson is so easy to use. I could lift it with one hand to remove cobwebs from the ceiling if there ever were any in my pristine mansion.
  2. Spiders. They’re fascinating, often pretty, useful for controlling insects, and I don’t even mind their cobwebs.
  3. Jeremy made some excellent burgers for dinner.

  1. SHORT HAIR.
  2. The marker of my formative assignment was very kind in their feedback – I got full marks, but they pointed out some aspects where I could go into more depth, and actually said he felt I could go on to do more statistical work!
  3. Got plenty of work done even with stopping work at 2:30pm.

  1. Had energy today somehow and got stuff done this morning.
  2. Lisa’s dealing with our insurance for me.
  3. We’ve been playing with the bunnies and persuading them to explore more, and it’s just so cute when they finally “find” me and snuffle my hands for their treat. So glad we have the time/space to do this, and Eclair is getting quite bold! (Biscuit has always been bold: there’s a reason I nicknamed her “Nose” when she was a baby – because she was always poking her nose into things.)

  1. Eclair didn’t want his pellets last night, but he ate as normal this morning. Gah, rabbits.
  2. I managed to figure out which song I had stuck in my head. I just had about two bars of it stuck in my head and I couldn’t place it, but finally! Turned out to be Nobuo Uematsu’s Answers.
  3. I remembered that there are limited edition King Arthur stamps, and massaged my budget so I could get a sheet of £1.70 ones for Postcrossing. Glad I didn’t miss those!

  1. I went to bed early last nigt, saying that I was too tired to even empty my tea pot. When I woke up today, I found that Jeremy had cleaned it for me.
  2. Jeremy made tuna patties for breakfast.

  1. A friend that I visit often has a lovely new couch.
  2. The Android Tasker app recently had an update to implement EXACTLY a feature I’ve been meaning to request.
  3. These photos of the full moon from the other day. I saw it shortly after it had risen over the ocean and it was lovely.
  1. Inbox zero and backlog zero! It’s been a while. Thank you, Beeminder!
  2. Reading a fascinating book about the Victorian obsession with murder. Quite a few things I didn’t know, like the fact that Hare (of Burke and Hare) wasn’t executed and actually went free (because he turned King’s evidence). And the really low rate of murder in Victorian times, even in London! (The book is The Invention of Murder, by Judith Flanders.)
  3. I got a full essay plan written out which should make writing this thing substantially easier.
  1. I have been given a milk frother! Jeremy and I used to have a coffee machine that did frothy milk, and I loved the coffees he made for me mostly because of the milk. It broke and coffee just hasn’t been the same since. Now I can drink frothy milk and I don’t even need coffee in it!
  2. The Succession TV series. The characters aren’t especially nice people but I’ve still become invested in their lives. I’m in the odd position of not being sure if I want something bad or something good to happen to each of them.
  3. Freshly made bread for lunch.
