- Carved out time to have a relaxing bath today.
- I’ve been coping well with something normally anxiety inducing.
- If I do a Focusmate session for my chores, usually I get it all done really quickly. I didn’t today, but I did make a lot of progress, so yay!

- Biscuit Bun loves me. I now sit where she can see me from the hutch, and when it’s closed she’ll go to the second floor and sit staring at me until I cave and go scoop her up for a cuddle.
- The Kate Daniels books exist. I’m on the penultimate one now! Lisa’s on the one before that and gaining on me…

- It rained last night, fairly heavily. It’s the first decent rain we’ve had for many weeks.
- Today was a pleasant day. Nothing outstanding but also nothing bad.
- It’s getting cold here!
- Realised that I can make today a shorter work day.
- I’m arguing a bit with a minor point in a book I’m reading, but the arguing is fun. (You could in theory ask me why I don’t think you should state “King Arthur was from Kazakhstan, actually” as a fact, but you probably are not interested in the rant that will ensue. Suffice it to say that I don’t think there are historical, geographic or linguistic grounds to back that up, especially if you’re going to argue it by talking about parallels for the Holy Grail, which was of course a complete whole-cloth invention by Chrétien de Troyes and Robert de Boron, centuries after the earliest recorded Arthurian myths, and thus cannot prove that any historical King Arthur was from Kazakhstan. If you even agree that King Arthur was historical at all, which despite all my Welsh pride I cannot say I do. Jesus Christ, people.)

- Seeing Jeremy after several days away.
- Arborists trimmed our trees that were near power lines and mulched the trimmings - we have a huge pile of mulch in the front yard now.
- Watching my favourite scrub turkey, Princess, discover and investigate the mulch pile. She seemed a little confused by the absence of insects in it.
- I had fun writing a book review for Postcrossing yesterday. (It’s not up yet, but I reviewed Nick Bantock’s Griffin & Sabine Trilogy.)
- I’m finally about to start reading KJ Charles’ Slippery Creatures.
- Right now I feel surprisingly content with where I’m at in terms of how much I read, how many books I have, etc. Reading has always been a pretty big part of my identity, but it somehow wasn’t sitting well with me lately.
- No chores today!!! Tody Zero without even having to do anything! It’s rare we manage to finagle the task repeats in Tody so that we get a day off without even having to take out trash or dust a shelf.

- This thread for leading me to the fact that pikas are poop-eaters (technically, cecotropes, like the ringtail possum), which I was able to share with my friend, who’s a pika fan. EDIT: I misread the Wikipedia page. “Cecotropes” are the poops, not the animals that eat poop.
- That learning about World Postcard Day prompted me to reach out to a friend who I haven’t heard from in a long time.

- Mum has paid for print versions of my textbooks, since the university has unexpectedly elected to go with providing access via ebook-only, and I totally hadn’t budgeted for that.
- My parents are happy to invite me and Lisa for dinner again, just because we need company, even though they saw us recently.
- My workdays to come sound insane to me now that I have to do two hours of studying per day as well, but actually it will align with Lisa’s schedule better, and I think that might be good for us. Lisa never complained about the fact that I got time in the middle of my workday to play video games, but I felt bad about it!

- The Bearded Dragon who periodically throws himself into the house from the roof cavity visited again today. I think he’s getting used to me. He ran straight to the front room, where the door was open, but he stopped at the door and let me come close enough that I could toss some mealworms in front of him. He even didn’t mind when one hit him in the head.

- My dental work is over with for at least six months.
- Lisa’s finally all set up with a dentist. Okay, they need remedial work before they’re allowed to go on dental insurance, but still, the work is all booked and it should end up fine.

- The Android Tasker programming tool. I used it to make a checklist of cards drawn in Card Crawl, which was even more fun than the game.
- Our cat went missing this morning for a while. I couldn’t find her anywhere. Eventually, after I loudly shook her box of food treats, she appeared out from behind a pile of laundry, so that was both nice and annoying.
