- The BBC broadcasts a Midnight Mass (a Catholic one, but I don’t mind – it’s not like I’m an Anglican, either, even though I normally attend an Anglican service), so I can watch that tonight. There’s no way we’re going in person, of course, but the Midnight Mass last year on the BBC was lovely, so I’m hopeful.
- A surprise present from a friend. It was actually supposed to come a lot sooner, via Portal Bookshop, and be just tucked in the box the next time I made an order… and then against all odds, I didn’t order anything for ages. Oops.
- I’ve been doing so much reading in the last few days! I know I said this already, but it bears repeating – it really makes me feel like myself again.

- I’m still not over my glorious Christmas pile. Mostly from Lisa, it must be said. 25 books total from them (counting the 12 books I got during advent), 2 from my sister, and 1 from a friend. And Lisa made sure to pick a wide range of books, so I have a lot of non-fiction on different topics (immunology, archaeology, textile history, manuscript history, marine biology…), some mystery, some romance, some fantasy. I’m spoilt.

- New socks. I got them on Christmas Day and only just wore them for the first time because I was saving it. I’d wanted them for ages! And I love all the socks I’ve got via this store.
