[Integration issue: resolved] Habitica integration not working 29/07/25

Alas, it’s already time for another update thread about an issue! It looks like at some point, probably yesterday, Habitica goals stopped fetching data. As far as I can tell, I also can’t create a new Beeminder goal with my Habitica credentials.

Right now, I can’t really speculate as to what the problem is – there might have been a breaking change in Habitica’s API, there might be something amiss on our side, etc, etc. I did test out some other third party tools I used to use with Habitica, and there’s a mixture whether they work or not, so I’m thinking it’s most likely there has been some kind of breaking change. It’s also possible it’s just a short-term thing and it’ll fix itself, of course.

I’ve alerted folks and started collecting up examples for further troubleshooting, in any case!

If you need a break on a Habitica goal, just contact support@beeminder.com with a link to the goal, and we’ll do that for you! If the problem can’t be fixed today, we’ll probably automatically put a break in for everyone with a Habitica goal, but that’s a decision we’ll need to make later on!

Quick update from Bethany: looks like they made a change to require something new from us. We should be able to get that fixed today, but we haven’t rolled anything out yet, so Habitica goals might still derail. Just let us know if that happens and it’s non-legit, by replying to the legitimacy check email.

Aaand the Queen Bee has rolled out a fix! She tested it out and things seem to be working, so we can tentatively declare this solved.

If you derailed because of it, of course, let us know! We can get that cancelled and put your graph as close to back on track as possible.
