As far as I know, it’s there as a sort header, but not for displayed data.
If you hover the mouse over that column on a particular data point’s row, it does show when that point was entered (and also how, e.g. Beedroid, web, autogenerated by beeminder). Not sure why it isn’t shown all the time; seems like showing it would be a pretty easy browser extension to write if you wanted it.

IIRC it is also exposed via the API, though it is not documented. There was a bunch of additional fields returned for the array of Datapoints when I played around with that for the e-ink dashboard and amongst them were textual attributes that looked a lot like the tooltip you mention.
