I think there is an AMAZING chance for improvement to that part of goal specification. Many, many folks get confused by it–you are not the first by a long shot! People get confused by fractional units, and they get confused about everything turning into a daily rate.

Regarding #10, I have seen a lot of new folks get caught up on this. I think there’s definitely room for improvement in the initial goal settings. Instead of asking about extra safety days or however it’s phrased, it might need to ask ask both “Would you only ever enter integers as datapoints, or would you ever enter 0.3 units of progress?” combined with “What is the earliest day you want to be required to make progress on this goal?” and have it use those to set the initial settings.
