that’s a good question. I can tell you that I let that tab sit idle for… hours I guess. And when I came back to weed out my tabs I found it like this.
Now let me see if I find some logs

Safari has a bunch of debug-y stuff that I could turn on the next time I see this. Do you think any of this would help?

ok I turned on JS logs and reloaded the page. I’ll let it sit there quietly in its corner and see if anything suspicious shows up.

Of course ever since doing that I was unable to reproduce the issue. I also ended up restarting Safari eventually because of something else. Still even before that no signs of trouble. So consider this moot.
