I renamed a goal “null” and found it can’t be renamed away from that, and also lacks some other functionality, namely being deleted.

I was sure we had fixed this recently. Turns out that was just for usernames, not goalnames. Thanks for the bug report! DM me for stickers!

You might have been thinking of the similar fix a few years ago for goal names like archived and settings.

Aha, thank you! So, yeah, this should be a trivial fix, modulo cleanup of existing thusly-named goals. Hit up support@beeminder.com in the meantime.
Also in the meantime, I guess our answer is come up with better goalnames!
